ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AT J SCHOOL
Courses and programs are offered year-round at FUA-AUF's J SCHOOL. Academics are available for diverse student bodies as described by the program options below. Please note for university students: In the case of students from affiliated institutions may receive credit from their home universities or non-affiliated students can obtain transcripts from the University of South Florida, FUA-AUF's University of Record in the United States.
Study Abroad
For-credit courses for study abroad are an opportunity for university students to internationalize their academic careers through regular sessions at FUA-AUF campuses in the Florence city center.
2-Year Career Program in Communication and Interactive Digital Media
This 2-year, intensive program is open to students who wish to receive immediate training for future careers upon high school graduation as well as continuing education students who are considering a career change. The first year provides an overview of digital media studies, while candidates interested in pursuing publication-related fields can choose the Year 2 option of Publishing.
4-Year Curriculum in Digital Publishing and Communication
The 4-year program of study combines the interdisciplinary forces of J SCHOOL and DIVA Digital Imaging and Visual Arts at FUA-AUF. Students complete the General Education requirements before continuing with the Core Curriculum and the concentration requirements for the three possible areas of study in E-Publishing, Digital Media, and Visual Communication. A dual degree option that also awards a US bachelor's degree is available.
Professional Studies - Experiential Learning & Internships
FUA-AUF's School of Professional Studies offers for-credit and non-credit experiences in the areas of internships, volunteer work and service learning. Placements can be located at J SCHOOL and the FUA-AUF university press, Ingorda for Florence Campus Publishing. Further information may be consulted at the related area on the FUA-AUF website.
